Driftwood Catfish tend to be timid and nocturnal by nature. The Honeycomb Catfish (Centromochlus perugiae, previously Tatia perugiae) is no exception, but is a worthwhile addition despite its elusive habits. The small catfish has a light cream-colored body and striking leopard-like markings.
These catfish are not aggressive and will not pursue fish as long as its tankmates are not small enough to eat. Driftwood cats are best housed in a dimly lit aquarium, or one that has plenty of driftwood, plants, or ornamentation for the fish to hide under during the day. They eat a meaty diet with foods that sink like frozen bloodworms or shrimp pellets.
