The Twin Spot Signal Goby (Signigobius biocellatus) gets part of its name from the two black spots on it’s double dorsal fin. The rest of the body is white with tan, blotchy markings. The ventral and anal fins are black with blue spots.
This is the only fish in its genus but is related to other sandsifting gobies like those from genus Valenciennea. They will pick up mouthfuls of substrate and sift through it for food items, expelling the substrate through their gill openings. The substrate should be small and smooth to avoid damaging their gills. This fish grows to a small adult size and can be very delicate.
