Doctorfish – Acanthurus chirurgus – Medium

The Doctorfish (Acanthurus chirurgus) is an attractive yet understated tang appropriate for reef and community aquariums. Most individuals are grey with white trim on the dorsal and anal fins, and blue in the fins and around the scalpel spine. There are ten faint bars on their sides. This tang is found mostly along the western Atlantic coast but can also be found around Senegal in the eastern Atlantic.
