Designed as the next filtration step above the class Fluval 405, but slightly less capacity than the Fluval FX6, the FX4 is perfect for offering high-end canister filtration up yo 700gph, for freshwater or saltwater tanks up to 250 gallons. Smart Pump technology, unique to the FX line, continuously monitors and compensates to optimize performance of the FX4’s pump to make sure you’re receiving optimal, efficient performance. The FX4 even auto-evacuates trapped air in the system every 12 hours to keep things running at optimal performance. Self-starting system is as simple as adding water and plugging in – the Smart Pump takes over! The FX4 even allows for quick and easy water changes by allowing you to easily attach hose (sold separately) to the output. Huge, stackable media baskets eliminate water bypass and hold up to 1 gallon of media! 16.5 in. high to fit underneath most aquariums.
