Hornworms are larval Sphinx Moths (Manduca sexta) and make excellent feeders for picky reptiles. They tend to be larger than other feeder insects and have a high moisture content to keep reptiles hydrated.

Hornworms can be kept in temperatures as low as 55 degrees F to keep their metabolism and growth rates slower, or as high as 82 degrees F to encourage them to grow faster. At either temperature, be sure that your Hornworts get plenty of airflow and ventilated and remove droppings as needed.
